Corfu
We loved our time in Greece and it all started on the island of Corfu. At every turn, we experienced sweeping sea views and interesting small towns and beaches to visit. We stayed in the small fishing village of Benetis town which had a local feel and was only 25 minutes by bus from Old Corfu town.
Corfu is where many scenes of the James Bond 007, movie For Your Eyes Only were filmed. We visited the small town of Pagi, where the famous car chase took place, and visited Spiro Bond 007 cafe located at the exact site where the yellow Citron flips over. Great town to visit, yet a rental car is recommended to make your way up to this small mountain-top town.
We had an amazing experience watching the planes fly overhead from Chalikipoulou lagoon. There is also a small church located nearby called Panagia Vlaherna which is worth a visit. Local people are fishing nearby and the birds and wildlife are all around.

Rhodes
One of the main places to visit while in Rhodes is the Medieval castle known as Kastello. This castle with streets that seem to go for miles and an expansive surrounding moat makes for an amazing historic walk that will put you back a few centuries. The palms, flowers, and sea breezes will put you in a relaxing trance that may force you to take a nap.
