Companion blog, tips, links, and pics

Brno an unexpected gem located between 2 major European destinations, Prague and Vienna. So much to do and see here. The most surprising thing was the quantity and quality of beautiful art and architecture. When talking to locals and they mentioned how the city got the benefit of the artists in Vienna and it made sense.
Below I share some links to museums we visited. The Moravian Gallery at the Governors Palace is where we got to see the amazing Medusa painting by Peter Paul Reubens.

We mentioned a lot of interesting things to see in the city. One of these things is the Atomic clock sculpture, video above, where a large marble randomly comes out on one of the opening every day at 11am.
Our best surprise was a concert by Kool and the Gang at the Mendel Festival in Brno. We also enjoyed escaping the heat in the ossuary, and visiting the planetarium located on a hill.

What can I say, if you are thinking of a European place to visit that has cool art things, fun festivals and great food. We would definitely recommend Brno in the Czech Republic.
