Episode 23: Bratislava, Slovakia

Companion blog, tips, links, and pics

The best way to get quickly acclimated to a new place ... try the free walking tour. We learned a lot in a small amount of time. From Napoleon's cannonballs, Ignatz the homeless man, and lots more cool stories and history. The Pressburg bagel was my favorite but there are lots to see in Bratislava.

Off the beaten path

Explore areas on your own as well. We found a chocolate factory, a cat cafe, and a local swimming pool. The best part of getting to stay outside the downtown is discovering things that a travel book wouldn't necessarily point you to.

Since I'm a fan of Street art I loved this tile graffiti by "REMS". Ended up following them on Facebook cause I liked their work so much. Take the time to look at the small stuff and you might find your next favorite thing.
